Vancouver, British Columbia — Ian Sampson is proud to receive an Emmy® Award for Outstanding Achievement in Engineering, Science & Technology. The award celebrates the development of Hush Pro and its innovative contribution to the television industry.
Since its debut in 2023, Hush Pro has helped dialogue editors and mixers clean up production audio with exceptional clarity, removing room reflections, sound effects, and ambient noise while preserving all the nuance of on-set performances. Now an essential tool at studios around the world, the plugin has elevated the sound of countless television shows, including many of this year’s Emmy nominees.
“I’m deeply humbled by this award,” says Sampson. “Three years ago, when I built my first prototype, I never could have imagined it would lead me here. I’m grateful to all the talented audio engineers who’ve embraced Hush Pro in their work, and to the Television Academy for this incredible honour.”
The 77th Engineering, Science & Technology Emmy Awards will be presented on October 14th, 2025 in Los Angeles, California.
